Former Nonthaburi MP Chalong Reawraeng allegedly shot former police officer Thongchai Yenprasert outside his office, killing the retiree and injuring his driver. Chalong Reawraeng, a former MP of Nonthaburi province, reportedly shot former police officer Thongchai Yenprasert outside Yenprasert’s office, killing him at the neck and harming his driver.

After escaping police custody, Chalong jumped into a press‑conference at a local station. While smoking a cigarette he called political commentator Anchalee Paireerak, who was live‑streaming on YouTube at the time, and, on camera, explained that a personal dispute had escalated into a deadly shooting.

Anchalee, shocked, told viewers “Did he die? You need to wait for the cops.” The clip went viral, sparking concern over the use of firearms in public office and the speed of social‑media attacks.

The violent episode follows a 14‑year‑old boy’s school‑house massacre that killed seven people before the teen took his life.
