The incident unfolded hours after a university football game near Bragg Memorial Stadium. Authorities say the gunfire stemmed from a fight among acquaintances and that no victims were targeted. Police have arrested a 15‑year‑old, Anthony Rivers III, for the shooting that injured 12 people near Tallahassee’s Bragg Memorial Stadium.

The incident occurred at 8:00 pm local time, just after a Florida A&M University football game. A short altercation among acquaintances escalated, leading to gunfire that spared no one—six of the victims were children.

Police say none of the victims were the intended targets. Rivers faces 11 counts of attempted second‑degree murder and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

Chief Lawrence Revell called the event a “night of fear and violence” that turned what should have been a celebration into a tragedy. He added the department is working to hold those responsible accountable.

Six injured people are now hospitalized, with one in critical condition, while the remaining five were released after treatment.

Authorities say additional arrests may be made as the investigation continues. The community remains on edge as police work to bring stability back to the area.
