Blood in the vines? Two men have been arrested after the body of TikTok star Sonia Bellina was found scorched in a French vineyard.
Bellina, 29, had a following of ~260,000 TikTok fans. She was in southern France for a family visit before her 30th birthday.
Police in Nîmes are running a murder investigation. The two suspects were taken in Wednesday, based on investigators’ belief they were involved.
The discovery shocked followers and fueled wild speculation online. Comments labeled the tragedy “pure savagery,” and a claimed “sister” stated she was certain the body was her sister’s.
Family lawyer Mourad Battikh warned the public that online abuse would be reported and the family needs privacy during this painful time.
Detectives are still piecing together how the incident occurred, but the authorities remain determined to bring the culprits to justice.
