In brief
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) International and Shanghai Electric have inked a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on a range of energy, water and green technology projects globally. The agreement focuses on combined‑cycle power plants, solar, wind, battery storage, desalination, and the emerging fields of green hydrogen and green ammonia.
On November 1, 2026, in Dubai, DEWA International agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding with Shanghai Electric to cooperate on large‑scale energy, water and green technology projects around the world.
The deal was signed by Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA, and Shen Bing, president of Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group, with Vice President Jin Xiaolong of Shanghai Electric present.
