Many groups that helped elect Donald Trump are increasingly unhappy with how he has performed in office, according to a recent AP-NORC poll conducted with over 2,500 U.S. adults. Key demographics, including Hispanic adults and younger voters, have shown significant discontent as Trump crosses a year in his presidency.
Approval among Hispanic adults has dropped by 16 percentage points since March 2025, highlighting a growing unease with Trump's approaches to critical issues like immigration and the economy. Younger adults remain particularly skeptical, with overall approval from this group falling from 39% to just 28% as economic concerns mount.
While Trump still retains support from most Republicans, recent data indicates that even within his base, enthusiasm may be waning, notably among younger party members dissatisfied with his handling of the cost of living and economic issues. A majority of MAGA Republicans remain loyal, but downturns in approval signify challenges ahead for Trump as he navigates a turbulent political landscape.
