Russia launched a wave of ballistic missile strikes on Ukraine’s capital last night, hitting residential and commercial areas and causing casualties.
The Ukrainian air defence reported shooting down 18 of the 41 missiles fired, while 108 drones were intercepted. Kyiv’s mayor said the attack was one of the most massive since the invasion began.
The missiles included the Iskander ballistic system and the hypersonic Zircon, along with 125 drones. The strikes damaged a supermarket, a dormitory and other non‑residential buildings.
In retaliation, Ukraine has targeted Russian logistics, hitting a Wildberries warehouse in Tambov and another in Elektrostal, causing fires and casualties as part of a strategy to disrupt supply lines.
Zelensky reported that Russia had used over 1,450 strike drones and 1,640 guided bombs in the past week, and Ukraine’s long‑range drones are now striking Russian energy infrastructure, crippling fuel supplies.
