Bodycam footage from a Dallas, Texas traffic stop has captured an officer rushing to pull a driver from a car that went into flames. The incident, filmed on 7 June, shows a dramatic rescue just before the car was engulfed by fire.
Corporal Joshua Swisher was on a routine traffic stop when a nearby vehicle began smoking. He directed the driver to use the emergency lane, but the car’s underbody erupted in flames while the driver was still inside.
Swisher’s dashcam footage reveals the officer’s quick reaction as he pulls the driver—just meters away—from the vehicle before the flames spread. The recordings, released unedited, provide a striking look at the dangers faced by law‑enforcement officers.
Experts say such incidents highlight the importance of quick response times and emergency vehicle safety protocols.
