Anthony Joshua's driver has been charged after a crash in Nigeria injured the boxer and killed two of his team members, police have said. Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, was charged at the Sagamu Magistrates' Court on Friday. Reports indicate that the charges include causing death by dangerous driving. Joshua's personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami, passed away after their vehicle crashed into a stationary truck on a highway in Ogun state near Lagos.

Joshua was taken to the hospital with injuries but was discharged shortly after. Prosecutors have filed four charges against Kayode, including reckless and negligent driving as well as a lack of a valid driver's license. He has been granted bail pending legal conditions. The tragic event has deeply affected Joshua, who visited the funeral home of his close friends shortly after being released from medical care, demonstrating his profound grief. Joshua, who recently celebrated a victory against Jake Paul, was on his way for family New Year celebrations at the time. The boxing community has rallied to support him during this difficult time.
