WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche defended the Justice Department's limited disclosure of files relating to Jeffrey Epstein during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” He stated that the partial release was necessary to protect victims of sexual abuse, emphasizing that the department is still reviewing thousands of sensitive documents.

While the Trump administration has committed to fulfilling its legal obligations, criticism from Democratic lawmakers has intensified. They accuse the administration of attempting to obscure important information, with some even suggesting possible impeachment for failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Blanche countered these claims, asserting that the reviews are ongoing and that new potential victims have been identified. He also criticized the accusations as disingenuous, urging that the protection of victims comes first. Despite the pushback, he stood firm on the administration's commitment to transparency and victim safety.
