Hospital OR Skids During Earthquake
Last week, a 6.8‑magnitude earthquake hit Kumamoto, Japan, and security footage captured the moment a hospital operating room shook while four surgeries were underway.
Medical staff braced themselves between trembling equipment and patients, while a nurse opened a door to secure an evacuation route.
Remarkably, all four operations were finished without injury.
The hospital returned to normal outpatient services on August 5 after the quake.
