Local officials said 67 people have been rescued so far, including 15 children. The search and rescue operation kicked off at 23:01 local time (03:01 GMT) after a distress call reached government teams and private vessels.

Prime Minister Mark Phillips said the vessel was licensed to carry more than 300 passengers, and that the captain – who survived – has joined the efforts to widen the search.
