A drone carrying an explosive payload was found overnight on the tarmac at Leipzig/Halle Airport, Germany’s biggest military and logistics hub. Police spotted the drone near Ukrainian cargo planes and used a specialised robot to remove a detonator. After a controlled blast the main runway was cleared of danger.
